Constants - company_type

API Issues

The constant for company_type with value ‘registered-society-non-jurisdictional’ is missing from the current constants.yml. The API returns this value for ‘RS’ companies e.g.:

RS007466 - 139 CHURCH STREET COMMUNITY PUB LIMITED
RS004335 - MUTUAL ARTISTS STUDIO CO-OPERATIVE LIMITED
RS004074 - COOPERATIVE INITIATIVE OF COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATIONS LIMITED

(However, the value is there in the company_summary constants and Beta correctly displays “Registered society” e.g. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/RS007466 )

Thanks for pointing this out. You should use the ‘company_summary’ lookup in constants.yml going forwards.

Although our developer hub says to use ‘company_type’ this is out of date and you should use ‘company_summary’. We will get the developer hub updated to reflect this.
