Person number to officerId mapping

We’re looking at mapping bulk officer data with API data (we have a hybrid solution) and we want to be able to map a person number (236794290001) to an officer ID (GClacwu4hThgTpN9y0P3wPTVuPA).

Is there any documentation on how this is mapped?

I note that this question appears to have been asked multiple times and not answered by CH on this forum (except in a thread linked from the thread below - and that was just to say "no mapping is available between XML and REST API numbers) - so good luck!

How is officer_id scoped?
