Hi Company House Support Team,

We (HSBC Kinetic UK) are getting frequent 504 http errors from Company House since Dec 03 17:12:05 IST.

API: https://api.companieshouse.gov.uk/search/companies

Could you please check if any issue is going on at your end and if so, by when it will get fixed.

Same here, I have been getting frequent 504 errors for different searches for several days. Example postman search below showing a timeout for a random company name based search @MArkWilliams
It doesn’t always fail though. Retrying it often returns results but there is certainly something off.

We are still seeing 504s this morning. I’m also seeing search queries with no matches, even when you would expect one or more. For example, https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/search/companies?items_per_page=50&q=ocado, is currently returning

After about 20 retries, I have received a correct response, but it took 14 seconds. It would be great to get an update on what is going on.

Confirmed Also having issues.

Sporadic timeouts and if the service does respond its taking upwards of 10 seconds.

Very inconsistent and causing direct business impact.

Also experiencing timeouts. First noted on the 26th of November, but with increasing regularity from the 3rd of December.
Today all our calls are timing out.
