Has anybody made a custom connector in Power Automate and been able to enter the API Key in the username and pass null into the password field or finding a way of making password optional?

i am trying to create but getting errors when i choose authentication as API KEY,
what to enter in A{I KEY?
tried basic authentication also but password is mandatory and because of which getting error.
Yes I have created custom connector. username is api key & password is empty.
Also we need to make authorization as parameter name and part of header
