Updating Companies House records via the API

I have read through the API documentation and it seems that currently the API only provides the capability to access existing Companies House information, but not to make any updates.

This post - Are Updates possible with the API - mentions that update functionality will be coming in the future, can you please advise if this is available yet.

If update functionality is not yet available via the API, is there any other way in which it is possible to update Companies House information via programmatic communication?

Update functionality through the API is not available yet.
You can file electronically via the XML gateway (and of course through our webfiling website)
