404 with empty data

Hello,

We are receiving empty data for a non existent company, previously the response body use to include.

  type: 'ch:service',
},

Is this an update to the API, if so can some one please point me to the change log.

There was a release on Saturday 27th July 2024 that may have affected the response.
This is being looked at.

Hello, we are using the Companies House Public Data API in a microservice. We have a suite of automation tests which check different company numbers. Around the 27th July, some of these company numbers stopped returning results. However I can still find these companies through the CH website search. I’m hoping to check whether we are encountering the same issue as mentioned in this post, or whether these companies have been removed from the database perhaps? Here are some of the company numbers - AC000797, CE000952, IC000429, LP002617, RC000035, RS007058

There has been a fix for this deployed to live. Please could you confirm that has resolved your empty data for a non existent company issue.

Hello, can confirm I am now being returned with the expected response body for 404 CRN.

Good morning, I would like to post an update in this thread. The same behavior is happening when accessing the endpoint for getting the company’s officers. Please see screenshot below for reference:
