CHD Vs CHS Appointments

We have found discrepancies between the number of appointments an individual has on CHD and CHS.

Ian Urquhart McKeand has 65 on CHS and 67 on CHD.

Peter Stephen Rigby has 240 on CHS and 267 on CHD. On CHS it says he has 151 current appointments and on CHD it says he has 5.

Both people have active, dissolved and resigned positions listed.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There are a couple of things to address here:

Firstly the definition and counts we display on both services are different.

On CHD we display the following counts: -

Active: Number of companies appointed to where the status of the company is not dissolved and there is no resignation.
Dissolved: Number of companies appointed to where the status of the company is dissolved and there is no resignation.
Resigned: Number of companies resigned from, irrespective of the company status.

On CHS we display the following counts: -

Active: Number of companies appointed to where there is no resignation, irrespective of the company status. (Technically if they have not resigned they are an active director of a dissolved company)

The lack of dissolved/resigned counts has been raised and and we are looking at making available on CHS and aligning the definitions. Will keep you posted.

With regards to the differences in the totals, after some high level analysis, this appears to be due to appointments related to companies dissolved greater than 20 years ago. On CHS these appointments do not exist but are available on CHD, which is an error on CHD. Will arrange for some detailed analysis to be performed to confirm.

Thanks

Mark.
