Getting 429 when using very infrequently!

Doing a remote call but suddenly been getting 429 errors.

Left all calls for 24 hours but on first new call still got 429 error. How can I get my account unlocked?

429 is too many requests in a time frame. If you were ‘locked’ or ‘banned’ you would be getting 403.
How many applications/users are using your API key?
We have had users with ‘stuck scripts’ that are using up all of their ‘rate’.
Are you checking the rate information in the headers?

Could this be something that could affect other customers (and maybe useful to provide more information on the issue and solution), or is this an issue that is particular to your systems and unlikely to be applicable to others?
