I am interested in retrieving the date related to when corporate annual reports are available to investors. I know that the Companies House API (‘date’ variable) provides a date that is different from the fiscal year end date for a generic annual report.
However, I found that the dates of several annual reports published on the companies’ websites (that are most of the times the same ones published in the Companies House, a part from the pictures in the reports) are different from the ‘date’ variables reported in Companies House.
My questions are then:
- What is the ‘date’ variable referring to?
- Is there a way to retrieve the true filing period date for public companies from Companies House?
