Would it be possible to add a filter for company search, to be able to select either:
- micro
- small
- medium
- large company

As far as I know, companies house does not store this data point. It was one of the points raised in the economic crime bill, that they can’t validate whether the type of accounts submitted for a company are correct for that company size, since they don’t have the company size classification.
As such, its unlikely that until this point of the bill has been implemented they will be able to offer it in the search api.
As a proxy, you can look at last accounts filed type, which for most companies is one of micro entity, total exemption full or unaudited abridged. For better accuracy than that, you’d need to look at employee numbers reported in annual ixbrl accounts.
