LP filing document link delayed availability

I have been trying to read LP7 filing documents for this filing:

https://api.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/LP023871/filing-history/MzQzOTU0NzYxMGFkaXF6a2N4

When I originally called this API on 18th October, there was no document metadata link in the API response. When I tried this again today, the document metadata link was available and I successfully downloaded the document.

What would cause this delay? Should we expect with any new filing that there is a delay in the document link being available from the API, and if so what is the maximum delay we would reasonably expect?

This was submitted on paper, so there is always a delay due to the fact that it has to be physically handled and scanned and imported into the services.

I will log a call to see if this is a normal ‘delay’ and if not, why it took the time it did.
