I wanted to enquire about the former names field provided with officer data via both the REST API and streaming API. I’ve observed that this field seems to only be populated using former names provided in an AP01 or IN01 form but not from a change in officer details filing, i.e., an officer’s name changing does not lead to the previously registered name being listed as a former name.
Am I correct in believing that’s the case, and if so, is this the intended functionality?
