Get Filing Accounts in iXBRL format

HI friends,

  1. I have noticed some companies have their accounts available in iXBRL format and other companies don’t and they are just a pdf. Is it possible to get iXBRL/xhtml format for all accounts?

Currently not all accounts are filed in XBRL format. In fact, not all accounts (or filings) are initially filed in digital format *.

To save you hunting for it you can get all the digital accounts as bulk data (daily) here: Companies House

For reference: see here for the instructions on what and how you can file.

  • Paper forms are still accepted. And some of the Companies House data set goes back quite a long way - far enough that at some point no accounts were filed online because there wasn’t an online. Or computers! (Well, there were mechanical ones…)
