Hi,
Officers Search now seems to be searching on officer name AND address, this brings back “quite a few” results.
Is this an intended change or a bug?
Cheers

Officer searching has always searched on both full name and full address. We are planning to optimise this search in line with the disqualified directors searching and will announce via the forum before this is released.
Thanks
Can you provide an example of how the search can be done based on officer address as well ? Using the “q” rest param ? If so, then does company house plan to provide querying capacity where we can specify the field against which the search is to be done and it’s corresponding value.
Thanks
Hi Harshad.
With the officer search, you cannot explicitly search by address. It will match address fields as well as the name, though it will favour the name in the results.
A postcode (say WA12) will only match the address, as the pattern will be recognised.
The disqualified directors searching has an unpublished feature, which will allow you to hint the address. So you’re getting something hot off the press! Add “in location” to your search query:
Joe Blogs in Birmingham
or
Joe Bogs in Sunny Street, London
This is not yet available in officer search or company search, as it is a very new development. We will be applying the technology to officer and company search over the coming months.
For the moment, a correctly formed postcode will match the address.
